Three from Three at Junior Head North
Conditions: very wet with little/no wind.
On a day dominated by Windsor Boys School who won 10 events with an enormous squad, the County Crews came home with an equally impressive three sets of medals and two fastest women division winners.
Thanks to Martha for the following report:-
WJ17 4x – Martha, Ava, Evie and Elise racing over 6km came 1st in their event winning by over 40 seconds. They were also the fastest women’s crew of the morning division winning the Founders Plate. They had a time of 22:04.3.
OpJ16 4x (band 2) – Arlo, Felix, Henry and Jacob won by over 1.5 minutes over 3.6km and would have come 2nd in band 1, behind Windsor BS by 26 seconds. They had a time of 12:43.7.
WJ16 4x – Martha, Emilie, Ellie and Elsa, also racing over 3.6km, had a good performance winning their event with a time of 13:47.1, being over 40 seconds ahead of 2nd place. They were also the fastest women’s crew of the second division.
Overall a very good day despite the wet conditions. NCRA came away with 3 wins from 11 athletes (Martha winning twice).
