British Rowing Club Championships 2025

Well done to all our athletes who competed over the four days of the British Rowing Club Championships. The weather gods were kind and the result was fair, close, and exciting racing. British Rowing is in good health at club level and the standard gets ever tougher, particularly in the junior events.

County had a good regatta, picking up two sets of medals (three including Elise rowing for Union):-

Anna S, Emily, Maddy, Ella – Silver W Club 4- and Bronze W Club 4x (see photo finish picture)

Elise (Union) – Bronze W J14 1x

The following also made A & B finals:-

Katie, Evie, Lulu, Ava – 4th in W J16 4x

James – 5th in Championship Lwt 1x

Heidi – 6th in W Championship Lwt 1x

Heidi, Elena (Derby) – 6th in W Champ 2x

Evie – 7th, 1st in FB

James, Ethan – 7th, 1st in FB

Martha – 10th in W J15 1x, 4th in FB

Aoife, Eva – 10th in W J14 2x, 4th in FB

On top of these results our athletes laid down improving performances in their minor finals, unfortunately Esme’s FD on Monday was cancelled due to the thunderstorms:-

Hannah, Ellie – 14th in J15 2x

Oliver J – 16th in J14 1x

Emily – 27th in W Club 1x

Alex, Oliver R – 30th in J15 2x

Jack – 32nd in J14 1x (after only a few weeks from his Learn to Row course in the Spring)

Lastly, Ava missed final qualification in J16 1x by only 1’’, being the fastest non qualifier, Lulu, in the same event missed the cut by 8’’. Felix was only 3’’ off qualifying for finals in J15 1x, Alissia 12’’ from finals in WJ15 1x

Well done Team County and particularly to our; supporters, coaching team, sponsors (Delstron & Vitikit) and to Oarsport.
